Cancellation criteria:
If the Mt Barker temperature forecasts is 37deg or higher on the Friday morning at 8:00am according to the local radio station Power FM (frequency 100.3) then the meet will be cancelled.
Along with rain events, the warmer months can also produce significant storms including hail and lightning. These events pose an increased risk of injury and may require immediate evacuation of the athletics areas to a designated safe zone. Meets will only be cancelled due to wet weather if it is steadily raining and the ovals condition is dangerous. A decision could be made no earlier than 2.00pm and any time leading to the centre meet. Please watch our Facebook page for updates.
